We had a bonfire 2yrs ago to celbrate my bday at the beach with my friends Missy & stacey. We dont get together much because they both moved away. But the summers a good time to meet up at the beach and let the kids play with eachother. we now make it a tradtion. Its so fun to be at the beach an dawn and watch the sunset and roast hotdogs & smores. we really have fun.

The tide was high, we needed to do this quick and Paige puts her hand on her hip.... needless to say i had to take it and fast. Right after the wave came and almost knocked us all over.

It was sooo nice to have a family day of relaxation with dad. Scott doesn't get to do much with us anymore with him working so much. The kids have been asking for dad. All i wanted was to be together. It was so fun. We made a huge rainbow. Atunnel. played in the sand with the kids. played in the water. it was a beautiful day. Nice weather nice company.

Baseball season wen until mid June so this is also part of our summer too. Tanner AA padres team won our division then went on to play city series . Scott received coach good sportsmanship award , Tanner got his trophy for winning division & Mr Logan received his T-ball award. We all won. Mom & Paige got 3 happy Boys.

whole 1/2 hr and some the second day by day three Logan took this role on for some strange reason. It also DIDNT help that we choose the week with no sun my kids were shivering ...something wrong with swim lessons and no sun. We got thru it and now they want to swim all the time. Thanks to the Wolfe's across the street from us who opened their pool for us. We r their almost everyday. It 's better than having our own pool. Just pick up and go.

Anyways we had an activity that associated with each princess.The girls all came home with painted nails face painted eye shadow. Red rose gems stones a princess tumbler and lots of princess stuff...We had fun and mom loved planning for it.Yes my husband says you wanted a little girl just do do all the girly stuff..One of the reasons...I love it..Thanks Paige for being my Sweet little girl. Logan loves to play catcher doesn't quit get the whole idea but just loves being out on the fields and playin ball it s a darn good thing Mom & dad love baseball and are coaching and practicing with them almost daily... they love correction we love it. baseball season we live at the ball park if its not the little league then we are at the DODGERS.. Some parents cant stand baseball or go for the kids and support. Some complain .. I don't mind it a bit. I don't think i have missed a game yet...plus when we are at the fields I don't have to cook... shhhh that the real reason. don't tell. We usually dont get home till 7:30 no time to cook and we have to be there @ 4:40 so not much time before either. JK

Well Tanner had his 9th bday didn't know what we were doing until Monday..I feel so bad. Could not pin point what to do . Parties are so much now days.We ended inviting his few closest friends. Some were out of town still o well we will have this problem for every year his bday is during Easter vacation.We went to see the movie Diary of the wimpy kid. Very cute perfect for this age too. $6.00 matinee tickets some popcorn we are set. Then back home for some pizza and cake. and a good game of baseball. Tanner has been saving up for a DS.Almost there. Tanner has been doing much better in school, his grades improved, he's graduated to bobcat in scouts and is a great baseball player. He's a very caring brother...Your mom & dad love you "big guy"

Easter morning

This Easter vacation it used to be called now its spring break. It really bothers me. Any how we had no church this Easter because it was conference so it was nice not to rush off and spend quality time as a family. Conference was great. Kids loves hunting for eggs, every year they get harder and harder to find and less candy. I like that part.We then headed over to in-laws for dinner at 1 :( I don't get it either... Scott then surprised us with an overnight trip to San Diego and went to the Zoo. We loved the walking and looking... Beautiful day to. Not hot not cool. Wed we already had plans to go to Disneyland actually ca Adventure with the Jordan's. It was relaxing and sunny perfect weather, a little breeze. Too many people so we left after Californian screaming. Paige went on Soaring and tower of terror and Tanner has to work his way through the emotions. He's gonna be 9 you know. Thursday we went and got haircuts and let the kids play. Sure wish we had a pool. O well.Sat tanners bday so we will be busy. That's another post. I actually enjoyed the break of NO baseball/school/scouts... its nice to break from the rut..Hope you all enjoyed it too.

This is probably my favorite season yes I know CA doesn't really have them but when the time changes and the weather is 70 and the sun is shinning bright and birds are chirping. All sounds of nature. The bright bold colors of the green grass ,bushes, flowers , trees, gardens..I love the comfortable weather NOT the 10010 degree weather that we will probably get this HOT summer. Thanks to our HF I do and can appreciate the beauties of the earth. We are blessed.. OH so blessed.

This is our 4th year and now a tradition in the Hughes home.. We invite 5-6 families to join in on the fun.. I found out a lot of them have never had corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes, or they just don't want to cook it, or would rather some one else do it. Sc ott and I don't mind it at all and it's one fun holiday where it's not a huge $$$ making day. We have fun everyone has been given something to bring that is green of course ie,,,rice krispies treats,jello, green ice cream drinks, paper goods. Yes th I am cooking all day but worth it. This yr I decided to cook brisket in my crock pot...mmm yummy best one yet. I had 6 briskets cooking at once. No I do not have a big kitchen or a big stove.. Somehow I manage to work it all out... Thanks to those families who joined in and shared the lucky day with us. Martinez,Hyer, Barron, Willett, Jordans, and the Vergos. See ya next year....................

There are two things I really want. I really have had a love and have always like taking pictures. I almost always have a camera on me. I like catching people in off moments , when they are NOT expecting them. I would love to get a very good and nice camera and take some classes too.It seems everyone around me has a nice camera.Yes kinda jealous.
They other want is actually a NEED now. We have outgrown this cute little home and we need some growing room. We bought this home newly married no kids and both were working full time. Now we have 3 kids I'm home full time and i feel crammed in it. Do not get me wrong I am very blessed to have a home a roof over my head.Especially in these tough times. I just feel really tight in my home,with one bathroom and and no family or other room to go.

I'm hoping for my birthday a camera or a front porch I've always wanted. Since my husband wants to stick it out here another 2 yr or 5 he says. I won't last. Two yrs I can do I Hope. another 5 or even 10 not an option.

Well it's officially little league baseball season now. As this year it will be quit interesting with 2 kids playing to see how this is going to all work.I already know we have some games playing at the same time and since Scott is manager for Logan's team he will have to miss tanners and Mom will be going back and forth. It is so fun to see Logan have so much excitement and to have his own team and his own uniform. Tanner is in AA and Logan T-ball. We also look forward to some Dodger games. We really enjoy them...

Scott i s working two jobs coaching two teams and somewhere he finds time to take me out on a date. I did feel like a single mom. I have the kids a lot.People have asked me how i do it. I don't know any different to be honest. I love being a mother and playing and teaching my kids.

I've tried and I need help so if anyone knows how I've tried to change my blog to some bright colors either i just am not doing right or i don't get it. I love march for the spring and St Patrick's day. It is a fun green day at the Hughes home.

Paige clings to me because I'm secretary so it makes it quit hard. She loves her teacher Sister Roper (also our neighbor). I have entered a new stage with all 3 kids in Primary. Well as you can see we've been tagged..
The boys wanted to paint a piece of wood
so I got my craft paint and brushes
out and they were too quiet i told Scott.
We were both reading and got up to see
why there was a Mom/Dad we have a surprise
you don't want to know what we said . so
now they are actually excited to repaint the fence
white again.

Mom/Dad both worked new yrs eve so we left the
poppers confetti and fun stuff to do with grandma.
they had sparkling cider and stayed up as late as they
could and fell asleep on the pa let on the floor.

Paige graduated from nursery to sunbeams and from
crib to big girl bed too....Now we just have
to train her to stay in bed.

This what I did Christmas eve and new yrs eve.
decided to make chicken tamales.
first batch 72 second 80. We gave away as gifts
to friends family and neighbors. we traded some for
Cinnamon rolls and candies. It works. trading still
works. Any how i love having tamales in my freezer.
I hope all enjoyed the Rose parade and I'm hoping and praying for a happier and better year than my last. I have had some major obstacles in my way and it's the way you handle them that makes you the person you are. My personal goal is to be happier and and less stressful. With a new Year a new start..........Go 2010 !!!!

This year I do have a lot to be grateful for. I am blessed to have my family back together again. We are doing quit weel and are happy.To those who knew & cared,thanks for all your thought ,prayers and a ear listen and a shoulder to cry on. My kids are so happy and I too. I am grateful for both grandparents involved in our lives and they are here to help us out. Most of all I am so very grateful for my great friends who carried me through this very difficult year for me. I love my heavenly Father and I know he is there and wants families to be together forever. I'm living proof.Scott and I just celebrated 12 yrs of marriage and 14 yrs being together. Let me tell you ..this has been a true test for me and us. Marriage is work daily work..But I'm glad cause I have 3 beautiful children and a eternal family. It seems like Halloween is celebrated longer and longer. Now days the kids wear their costumes to school, church parties, neigh parties, by the time halloween actually gets here my kids have had enough. Seriously!! I let my kids literally gorge n candy for three days then ---gone. Yes I throw it away. never been a problem they have never asked for it again. Its works great for me. Anyhow this year we actually didn't stay home and pass out candy we went to a neighborhood party and it was a blast. We did take all the kids out for a little bit and then back for some more food and dancing around acting crazy. Isn't that what kids do best... I enjoyed being low key and enjoying my family time.

Mommy and Logan waiting for the train. All Aboard...Well as you can see we started the day off at Disneyland to get his free gift card. We stayed and went on a few rides, then headed home. It was so nice there. Beautiful day no waits. wanted to stay but had to come home to get ready for his party. A Dodger party with his friends. We played baseball,ate hot dogs , popcorn, licorice, and of course cake and ice cream. Logan surprisingly ate his cake. Not just the frosting that he loves. He did request the skateboards kids head to eat though. Funny !

Any how we did pinata cake and presents. We had fun. Thanks to Brenna-Brooklyn- Natalie- Cameron-Kylee-Rodrigo-Lauren Grandy N Grandpa & Grandma for all my fun toys. This last week we enjoyed Dodger game one with kids and one without we went to Disneyland and Beach on Friday with good friend Missy Cj, Justin. It was cold there practically all day until sun broke out around 3 maybe for an hour or so. We then headed out to In & Out for dinner then home. The week prior United Methodist church hosted a Robot camp week that Tanner and Paige really enjoyed. They samg songs, did crafts and met new friends along with some friends they already new from church and the community.Logan was able to attend the Bridge Academy at La Fetra to get the Kindergartners ready for school. He enjoyed that and 2 play dates with his buddy Jared.We had a slow moving summer but happy to get back to the school/ soccer schedule again.

Well after the boat was on the market for a year we finally were able to sell the boat and get out of that ugly payment. I know Scott will miss it and had a hard time letting go. Bathroom update

Well it all started 7 yrs ago when we remodeled the house and the bathroom really never got finish. And so we left it bright yellow on top tan step and walls creamy yellow ragged. I have not liked it since then and have wanted to repaint. So paige pulled on the towel rack and it came out of the wall. Scott says now is the time to repaint if we are going to do it. Yea!! I helped with about half and ended up finishing the white on top. Decor still in waiting, but finally feels open and bigger.

Well It all started out with some baseball mom's wanted to get together over the summer to stay in touch. So Paola Jordan and her 2 boys came with her friend, then Connie Strickland came with her 3 boys, then me with my 3 Missy and her Justin , sister-in-law Amber with her 2 youngest, then Stacey 8 months and her 3. We all met up at Huntington Beach with all 13 kids. it was fun. The kids all played so well together and the moms were able to relax. Cheap activity. $10 parking and walla. I love doing this and my 3 love it too. Yes I dous (sp)my kids in 85 sunblock and they are off. Reapply every 1 or 2. We all have fun and come home shower and a good night rest. Thanks for making beach Friday fun. Everyone!!!!

Every man in his family...Great Grandpa Matthews started the cub program in our church years ago. Both Grandpas, 4 uncles Dad and now Tanner. Logan wants to too he still has a couple years to go. June 17 we started the day off to Disneyland so I could get my $69 gift card. If you don't have a season pass you get in free. Anyways we stayed until 3 came home. and mommy went out with the girls for a dinner.I t was to get away. Then Friday I met other girls down at the beach which was cold all day.We were lucky to reach 70 for about 15 min. So we decided to head in and they surprised me with a hot dog/smores dinner bonfire. It was fun. Thanks Missy and Stacey. We were cold but in great company. It's nice to be remembered on special days.

2009 championship winners for A-ball

We did it. Baseball in officially over and the Padres came in second place. We were 1/2 game away from holding our first place position 3/4 the season. However we Won the championship game .It was a double elemination and we played all the teams and won. Best part we played the D-backs who didn't like us at all. We won them back to back. It was a sweet victory for us Padres.So the first trophy is for the regular season then other is for the championship.We had a very tight and united team with great parent participation which is huge. We had a great team party.Tanner was very blessed to have his Grandma and Grandy and Grandpa at almost every game supporting him. The last game Tanner's primary teacher Sister Williams came to see what a great first base men I had. The kids really gained confidence , improved and had fun!!!we already have signed up for soccer in the fall. so we will just enjoy the summer and start strong in the fall. GO PADRES !!!!!!

I asked Paige what kind of part she wanted and she said PINK I said, how about a pink and purplelicious party. YES, YES, YES! So planning started. We had 5 little girls all wearing of course pink and purple. all the food was pink and purple and all the decorations...you guessed it pink and purple.And no Boys!! all girls. We decorated foam tiaras, colored purplicious pages and pinned the cherry on the cupcakes. We did read both books to get all acquainted with the theme. Paige and I have to read them daily.And to my surprise I guess there is a new one called Goldilicious too. So Grandy said she will get it for us. Yea. I'm excited.We really had fun and the girls did too. A special thanks to Shannon Hyer for taking pictures for me because I could not find my camera.I found it later that day.So I took what I could.I have to wait for the rest.Sophie, Kate, Bryn and Payton helped celebrate with us. Thanks. I did get a little over my head with these pinkalicious cupcakes. They look just like the book !!! Yes I pulled it off.

Tanner turned * on April 10 and he chose to get baptised. I am so proud of his decision to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints. Tanner is a wonderful child and really wants to please others. His grandpa had the honor of baptizing him and he was so happy. He surprised me and made me really proud to know that I'm doing right with raising my children when on his own after I , said mom can I go up and do that too? I said of course. What do I say. Whatever your feel in your heart. He did!! I am so happy for Tanner and the choices and decisions he has made.I love you Tanner and so does Heavenly Father. mom

DODGERS opening day WOW !!!

We had the awesome experience to go to opening day at Dodger stadium and watch the first official home game against the Giants. We kicked their butts. Anyways we left about 11am pulled Tanner out of school early and packed us all up and got their early to watch all the festivities. They announce all the players coaches and pretty much any one that does something for the team out on the field, then they did the giants as they are getting booed. Then they let of fireworks and pulled out this huge American flag as I try to keep the tears from coming. I'm a huge patriotic fan. Then they walked out all the flags and had Christie from China sing the national anthem. Blue and silver streamers shot out everywhere it was fun. We then enjoyed our normal dodger dogs and peanuts and chocolate malts. We snacked on licorice and fruit rolls and trying to keep Logan and Paige entertained. Tanner 1 base men so into the game No problems. That's when you know they are growing up.We stayed to the very end. Yes I think are longest game. We usually leave during the 7 inning stretch. Paige I think went potty about 6 times and Logan about 4. We are doing great with potty training. I did bring a change of clothes for both just in case. We then got stuck in traffic trying to get out. That's the only thing about getting out late. People don't know how to drive. Any ways I'm so glad we get to go and share the love of baseball with our kids and teach them about American game and American traditions. This easter break was blended with Tanner's birthday and Opening day at Dodgers. So we went to church that morning and came home and The bunny had been to our home. It left the kids pails with some candy and toys and then they went outside and found eggs. This year most of the eggs were filled with money and of course the kids love that. Then we headed over to grandy and grandpa for a nice dinner with their uncle. No cousins this time we are hoping soon. Hope you all enjoyed spending this special day with ones you love. I know I did. Ok so these went in backwards but you'll get the idea backwards. We started out a slow week but Friday we started out at Disneyland for Tanners free birthday pass and ended up buying a pass for Logan and I also. We were able to purchase them on the NEW payment plan. So great and you can use the free birthday $$$69 towards a new or renewal pass so it's not that mad. Anyways. So Tanner was soooo excited about his sleep over tonight with 5 of his best friends. we had to put a number on it. He went on 2 rides and sat on the train and he said I want to get home mom I don't want to miss my part. Ok we went home and as you can see we had plenty of time because Mom got smart and had everything ready the day before. When his friends finally arrived it got instantly crazy and non stop till as you can see in the one picture lights finally went out at 1am YES 1 am I seriously thought and planned on not getting much rest as this was what he wanted for his birthday O and NO siblings. His quest was granted. I was pretty sure they would tire out at Midnight. These were some hardcore and very competitive kids. Playing Wii movies baseball basketball tag you name it. We had pizza and cake ice cream and unlimited about of candy to enjoy. They did have fun. They were all awake at 7 morning and Scott went to Donut man for a run of donuts and milk for the kids. Pick-up was 10 am and I was so done... And he's only 8. What did I get myself into....I am soo happy and grateful to be Tanner's mother and carried him for 9 months. He is a very sweet and loving son and really tries to please others. He is very competitive loves sports and his family. He tries to keep us all together. He's doing his best in 2 grade and loves school. He's preparing to be baptized. Tanner is a special child and I his mother am very proud of him. He's really improved this year on a lot of levels baseball and his scholastic skills. He's the first baseman on his Padres team this year and doing awesome. He's a great kid. Happy 8 b-day Fulio (family joke)

As you can see the kids sure do keep us busy. The kids love to help cook and do laundry and take out the trash. So of course I take advantage of these opportunities to teach them now. So they can be more independent.

Logan's school recently help a grandparents luncheon and grandma went on Thursday and grandy & grandpa went on Friday. Logan loves to share his projects and school with his family. Paige is really into babies and cupcakes. She is improving dramatically in her speech and may not need any more therapy as of her 3rd b-day. Yes you read right my baby is going to be three. I've always had a baby on the way or here at this point. As we all know that won't be happening. I am very blessed to have three healthy smart & beautiful children.Tanner is getting ready also to turn the big 8 years old and preparing for baptism. tanner has decided along with mom and dad to have some friends come over and have a boys sleep over and let boys be boys! His 6 best friends are the Willett twins from church, school and baseball , Kyle from school soccer and baseball, CJ from church an school, Cade from soccer and Nick from school and baseball last year. We won our first game of the season 15-0.Sorry it took so long my life lately has been a little complicated. Thanks for understanding.!!!

I wanted to give my three children a little Valentine tribute. I want all 3 of them to know how much mommy loves them and that I would to anything for them. I am so grateful for these beautiful children that Heavenly father has given to me to teach, nurture, raise , help and play with a love. I have so much fun with my kids and love playing with them. Don't get me wrong there are days and times when I do need a brake. Normal right! Tanner has a new job where he takes the trash out every day and does the dishes after dinner. This was one night this week and I thought it was cute. I have often caught my kids with an open book a work book scripture and I try to capture those moments and let them know It makes me Happy. Logan went #2 on the potty for the first time in a while and I told him he would get a toy and since we had it left over from x-mas I gave it to him. This is the cars mountain race. New Years

This year since our Disneyland passes expired on the 3. We decided to go on New Years day and just enjoy some family time. It was pretty chilly there and we all bundled up and could not believe the wait to get into the park. Lucky for us with passes it wasn't that bad. We went straight to Space mountain and Scott took Logan and waited in line while I waited at the exit with Tanner and Paige for the switch pass. Tanner will no longer go on it , but he will go on California screaming. Go figure. Anyways we don't let that dampen our fun. We still have to wait for Paige . We decided to do and try new things this year when we renew. There are so many things that the park has to offer and we always do the same things every time. So this time we went to see the country comedy show and have lunch there. I realized I only got one picture. Then the next day Scott said we should go to Sam's and stock up again. So here we are. Then Tanner got a Lego helicopter that daddy promised he would help build with him. After about 15 min No one was interested anymore. Their patience isn't very long. Kids had a very long break and did quit a bit. Glad to spend quality time with them also glad to have them back in school Yea!! Scoot is back training for his Tri in April and I'm still at the gym working my way down. We are off to a good start this year I pray for love support comfort, patience, pain tolerance , good health, healing, Happy times .

Christmas at the Hughes home

Well this year I would have to say with the economy the way it is and Scott's line of work we are very blessed that we had a good Christmas. We have a roof over our heads with heat and 3 healthy children and family and great friends. We pause this time of year to give our time and talents and Love to our Savior Jesus Christ and enjoy this holiday season. We were able to see Santa twice this year and found out that Paige doesn't like him and wants nothing to do with him. Not even a little treat. Logan still isn't quit sure, yet. Tanner is really questioning him. We tell him as long as you believe he will come. Also along with the peeking of presents. If you peek or open it it goes back to the store. No more peeking. That was a quick fix.. We went to our small town Christmas parade and to a neighbor Santa party. It has been unusually cold this year for California. I know those of you reading this from colder states are laughing but for us here it's COLD... 45-47 .New years we hope for 69. Thant's warm. It feels so good to have the sun shinning.Tanner was excited as you can see with the Wii and even though daddy didn't want it he sure got into it. Grandy and Grandpa got Tanner stars wars costume trunk so they didn't hesitate to go change before they were finished with all their presents. They did wear them all day long. The 2 grown men on the ground would be Scott and his brother Darren on the ground something about dude your fat....and it was on. Grandpa or DAD had to come break them up because mom couldn't plus they were gonna knock the tree over. Idiots !!! We sure had fun visiting uncle Darren and his kids. The cousins don't get to play together enough. So it was great for them and then we played games all day and night.

As you all know Scott had gastric bypass last Dec and has lost quit a bit of weight. As most of you will see with the holiday picture we sent out. So if you have not seen him in a while hold on you might be shocked. He did his first Olympic distance tri in sept. and is currently training for his first 1/2 iron man in May. He weighs 147 lbs. And looks great.

Tanner is in second grade and is doing great.He is really good in math an Science. He loves sports and is very competitive. His soccer team went all the way to the finals this year and wound up in 2 place. and Tanner went to all stars . He was stoked!! We have a break before baseball starts up again. So we enjoy this break.

Logan is in preschool 3 week and love s his teacher and is doing great. He 's in a class with his best friend Cameron and he lives across the street so they play all the time and are very close. Logan loves to read and do puzzles and play batman and super heroes.

Paige is 21/2 and a real princess. but is very tough with 2 big bro. She can hold her own for the most part. She loves to read and do puzzles and play baby dolls.

Jessica is a busy mother between my church calling in primary and kids in school sports keeping a house and dealing with everyday life. I ran my first 5k turkey trot this year and beat my own time I put for myself. I'm proud of that and also the fact I've lost 2 dress sizes.Yea!!!

Christmas Is...

Well this year Scott's soccer team Packers went all the way to the finals we came in 2nd. we are so proud of him and especially Tanner. He played a good half back and we could always count on him to boot that ball out of the goal. Even though he played against a lot of his friends on apposing teams. Tanner also got selected for All-Stars this year which was an honor. The only bad thing about this is we were playing soccer the second week into Dec. with very chilly weather for Ca. It's been quit cold here.

We also have been to see Santa twice this year and we now know that our Paige wants nothing to do with Santa Claus Not even the gift. And Tanner knows that's not the real Santa that "costume". da mom his shoes aren't the same. I told him as long as you "Believe" he will come but don't ever ruin it for your brother and sister.

Scott is back again training for his 1/2 ironman in may and since it is so cold outside he has been riding stationary in the house. And I have been getting up at 5:45 to go walk/running and gym. It's 45-47 outside COLD!!!

Thanksgiving (Late)

I woke up early this year to join my friend Cara in Laverne to run!!!you saw this right run a 5K with her along with some other friends of hers in the 1 annual Claremont Turkey trot. I didn't think I could do it. In fact I didn't register to do it until the morning of because I wasn't even sure if I was going to walk or run it. I ran the whole thing and thought I was gonna die. I was so proud of myself and beat my own time. 3.1 miles in39:26...How great is that!!!! then I came home and took a 2 hour nap.. I was so sore and tired the rest of the day through sat. Yea!!!!

This year was definitely one of the years I actually sat down and wrote down all my blessings and counted them one by one.We go to Scott's parents house every year because they invite us and I don't have to cook. The last two years they have invited my mother to join because she home alone with 1 cat and 2 dogs. It's nice to be able to be together on Thanksgiving. Joyce and Ev work really hard every year to give us a yummy dinner. Thank you ! Oh how blessed am I. Even in this bad situation with the world and economy crises. I have been struggling with some issues and it's nice to know the Lord loves me and is still blessing me with tons...

Well this is for every ones request. You wanted pictures and here is one. Scott and I celebrated 11 yrs Sat. I had planned to go away to Disneyland and eat at the BlouByyu(I so not know how to spell this one)Any ways and then go get a room at the California Grand..Cause it's expensive....But he thought Not!!So He decided to help out his friend all day and put up siding on his room addition.And I said that's not fair for the kids who were sooooo excited to spend the night at Grandy & Grandpas. So I dropped them off and I had the whole weekend by my self. and to do what I wanted to do...Great So I went and pampered myself and got a facial and massage . Then I went shopping at Victoria gardens. Came home and

Scott wanted to go eat so we went to Outback and Enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner and were so tired we went back home and crashed early.I love you Scott We've had some thick and thin times but, I love you so much. That pampering really got to me. Then Sun he woke up and went back to work and I off to Pasadena to go X-mas shopping. Got a lot done. Yes On Sunday.I did enjoy driving my mother-in-laws red Camry. It was fun to be in a little car and No car seats kids coming in and out every time. I did enjoy. it. I got myself flowers for our anniversary and a beautiful purple set of jewelry.

I was also able to help out a good friend of mine Shannon who lost here Grandma this week and watched her Kate, Paige best friend. They have a love hate relationship. She was off to Utah for the burial.

I also Friday morning at 12:01 has the unforgettable experience when I with Denise, Nicole, Stephanie, Becky, Heather went to the Twilight movie. We decided to go after our Bunco night because our husbands would be home with our kids anyways. Perfect. we had fun coming home at 3am and being sooo tired the next day. Ok it was well worth it. I am working on book #2. So good. Thanks for a fun night girls.

yes i finally broke my plateu

Well as you all know I started working out in Dec at the gym regularly and lost 15 lbs. within the first 5 months and got stuck and no matter what I did nothing. budged. So I decided to bump it up a little more and started walking 3.3miles early in the morning and just recently run the last 1.3 miles home. I weighed myself witch I rarely do and had a mini part in the bathroom. I was so proud of myself it gave me more juice to keep it up. So I'm doing my first 5k thanksgiving morning with my girlfriend Cara. Scott's going to bring the kids to support me. So my new size 12. Feel great!!!

Also We played our semi finals game today and WON !!!!! we went into 2 5min overtimes and then went into sudden death. Our Kyle scored and our kids jumped the coach. It was the best experience I have ever felt. For the kids to work this hard all season and to show them it pays off. The are so stoked now. We play again Dec. 6 for the championship....yea I'm so proud as a mother and of my husband Scott for coaching these precious kids. What an experience for him too. Such an energy booster WOW!!!

This is when playing in sports gets fun. I'm hopping Logan can play next year but his birthday may push him back a whole other year. Can You believe it I forgot my camera for this game. So her are some other game shots.

O as you can see We had Spider man Bat man and Miss CInderella or rella as Paige puts it. Doen't she look beautiful. Tanner was dying to be white power ranger and they did not have it this year so since I had credit at party city he got to choose and I hope this super hero stuff gets out of his system beacuse I'm sooooo over it. Logan got both bat & spider man for his birthday and he decided to do one each day. Paige loves rella and she is defintely a princess. As you can see her with her baby and baby bottle usually doen't part with them unless she has her purple titat(blanket) or bites from either dad or mom. Mom and the kids had fun carving the pupkins tanner wanted to do a power ranger one might as well....Logan did scary tongue guy and Paige did cinderella castle. We had fun this year and mom is glad it's over. Now we can focus on Fall being grateful for what's really important FAMILY.BLESSINGS.

School Halloween party

Thursday October 30 Logan had his Halloween trunck or treating party and fun games at school. So I went to decorate my trunck for his school and brought ghost peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for the kids lunch and Fri Halloween I went to Tanner's school for his parade with a purpose where the kids bring a canned good to donate for the needy families in the are for meals on wheels.It's great for the children to learn it doesn't take much to care. It's really simple.Then we all went to the rooms and they all rotated rooms and played different games. Back to regular classes for pizza & trick or treating at the desks. Kids had fun. Lots of work for parents teachers and helpers.Hope they appreciate it. Then of course early out for going home and getting a good meal in before we go real trickOtreating.

Since the DOdgers went to the playoffs we had the experience to go see it from up top. Tickets are quit expensive and we were just excited to get to go and we took some good friends of ours(Willett's) that like baseball with us.We had pretty ggod seats as you can see and saw a couple fights and some die hard fans. Funny ! It was a nice date night to get out without kids and enjoy some adult time together. We need to do this more often....Definetely...

Scott's 1st Triathalon

Today we had the awsome opportunity to go watch daddy do his first tri-athalon. He did just had he thought time wise. He finished in 3:20:22 I met his parents Joyce and Ev and we watched him from the beginning through all the switch off to the finish. Scott's brother Darren and his three kids Trenton, Whitney and Ethan joined us and we enjoyed this fascinating event take place. Can't believe the time and money some of these people put into it. I'm talking thousands of $$$. I guess my mother also came to see him but never found us. But she did get to see Scott and that the reason she came. Scott has had a lot of support and from a wife's point of view I am so proud of him. What a great accomplishment. Now he'l take a break and start traing for his 1/2 ironman in April. We do look forward to experiencing another eventful day with him. This time we get to go to San Diego. Yea!! Well Scott is now 10 months since bypass and as you can tell feels great.

Disneyland

Friday we again went to Disneyland with my friend Missy and her 2 son Cj and Justin. We had fun but O my gosh I don't know what happened but it was so busy over by Haunted mansion and Indiana Jones. It was scary crazy. The canceled the firework show due to the wierd weather and we found out Justin and Logan were tall enough now for Matterhorn and space mountain and Paige can now go on Autopia. Yea!! Now we are making progress. However My three all fell asleep at space mountain and Tanner did not want to go and CJ did. Missy went with her boys and we used the switch pass for CJ and I to go. We then left. I always enjoy going places with Missy. We look forward to another Disney trip.

Disneyland

Friday night Wendy and I decided to get out and go to Disneyland. COnsidering we have passes and we have not been since spring break.It's always crazy in the summer time. We went to California adventure and went on California screamin and to the carasel for Logan and PAige. Then to the silver bullet and soarin ca. We then headed over to Disneyland and waitined forever for haunted mansion. Thought it would be fast since the firework show was going on. we all were so tired we decided to go home. We did have fun though.

Well this year we are having a good year so far. Tanner is really getting into it and loves meeting new players and plays against alot of his friends. We have managed to win 2 tied 1 so far.Scott and his assistant really run and work them hard at practices. Grandy and Grandpa and Grandma come for support along with Mom Paige and Logan. We enjoy watching the game.Paige loves Papa and Logan likes grandpa to hold him.We will keep you updated on the Packers. I thought those were football teams.(whatever) I'm not in charge.

Logans 4th b-day party

Logan wanted a Spider b-day party so we decided to have some friends over and BBQ fish Scott caught and have a water slide pinata and yummy cake. We had friends and family come help celebrate. with us. Yes we did feed the missionaries. When your preparing food for 40 whats 2 more. Anyways I know the kids had a blast and we had all the kids take turns with the pinata and Tanner , Tyler and the twins made a dent but Scott actually had to get a real bat a swing really hard to break it. Funny. We opted not to open presents because we were both tired and thought to do it later. Well that didn't last long by the time we were done cleaning up Logan had already started opening them and I had to round up card and hope I could figure out who gave what. So sorry I only figured out 3 so far. We put the rest of toys away until Logan woke up at 6;30 and opened the rest. He had a ball I guess that's what b-days are for. right... We had fun and we enjoyed all that attended. The Hughes, Hyers Kistemanns,Kolbys,Willetts,Greens,Vergo's,Alleys, Stourke,Gardners,And Barrons. Logans new Bike

Well Logan needed a new bike really bad because he is still riding a pink trike I bought him when he was year old. well it's faded and practically broken and besides he needs to learn how to ride so he can go on bike rides with us and not be in the trailer. I let them ride in the middle of the street because I barricaded of the road with big reflector cones. So the cars are forced to slow down . Tanner is 7 and I let him go further,but I'm still there to make sure he follows the road rules. Not all cars look for kids /bikes.

Back to School

O well I've got Tanner officially off to school and is having a good week. He's adjusted well to new teacher, new friends and being back on the school campus. He's got to put together a" ME" book. Logan went to his introduction day of school and will start Tues 2 for 3 days wk/w/spanish. Logan has his best friend and neighbor across the street Cameron (in pic. ) and Justin( Missy's son) and Charlotte Morgan in his class.Mommy is looking forward to kids being in school and busy doing homework reading and soccer. Paige and mommy actually might be able start a dance class or something together. I've always dreamed of this moment because I grew up taking dance for 15 years. It's fun and a lot of hard work. But I love to dance to this day.So the boys are off.....Classroom sweet classroom. Mommy loves you and have a fun year!!!

Huntington beach vacation

We we finally were able to get away for a couple days and go to the beach to enjoy some R&r. Fri day we met up with the hughes and barrons as we have done most of the summer. and our other friend Cori came with 2 her boys and her brother-in-law and 2 girls. We always have fun and enjoy the sun and watching the kids play so good with eachother.We also had Missy take some family photos of us at the beach. What do you think.That night we missy and Stacey decided they wanted to walk down to Ruby's on the peir and eat dinner. So we decided to go along since we had to eat anyway and only had 10 drive to our hotel. So we walked almost 2 miles down waited 30 min ate yummy food and Mark and Tyler and CJ left early to get the car to come pick us up and Scott called a bike trolly to pick him up and mark and the boys to hurry things up. Well it didn't reaaly help much because we ended up walking most of it. It was annoying and funny all at the same time. All the kids were troopers they did not complain once. We went back to our hotel exhausted and so tired that we didn't even bathe the kids. I know gross. They actually crashed before we could. We went to IHOP for breakfast then back to the beach for a couple hours but the wind was blowing so we left adnwent swimming . We enjoyed lounging at the room and oredered in pizza for dinner and went to bed early. Sun we woke up checked out and went sight seeing and came home to get ready for school. It was short but, nice and relaxing and thats what a vaction is.

The Hughes Family has had season tickets behind home plate oh 33 years now and as a hughes our family gets the opportunity to enjoy the Dodgers live at the stadium and get to experience the fun of All-American Baseball with the dodger dogs, coke & peanuts and just being in the atmosphere. The boys love to go to the dodger game and sometimes mom and dad get to go on a date without kids or a double date with friends. (Willett's).And sometimes grandpa goes with the boys . We have so much fun. I finally got a good picture of all of us at the game. Here are the boys eating their dodger dog and Paige too.Mommy and Paige for a quick snapshot and Logan just thrilled as can be, as you can see. Fridays funday day

Friday we were back at our usual spot at lifeguard station 11 in Huntington beach. We love it because all 8 of our kids play so good together no one fight and complains. I caught all 8 playin in the water together. I belive Tanner, Tyler,Kenzieand CJ boogie boarding and Justin ,Logan and Morgan jumping waves and running with the water as the tide comesin and out and Paige just lays in it and laughs. Tanner and Tyler posed for a photo after catching a wave and The beach bugs playin in the sand together and no sand throwin going on.Paige sitting in the toys bucket and then fell overafter the picture was taken and Missy catching up on all her celebrities. We have so much fun and it's amazing we rarely get complaints and we stall all day . It's a fun filled day the kids get to run and play and we moms get to relax and it's a cheap day out. we all like those right. On of our accomplishments this summer is Tanner has lost 3 teeth mainly his t font teeth. Yea!! He babied those suckers and Mom and Dad couldn't handle it any longer. So mom yanked those babies OUT!! They were so bad that whenpulled they others just moved right on in in 1 day,and the tooth fairy came and gave Tanner $ 7.oo. Lucky guy. This is Ryder a neighbor and classmate of Tanners. They had a playdate and he said his teeth hurt and I asked Mom if she wanted me to yank his too. So guess what I did. ANd (mom) Wendy couldn't believe I actually did it. I did save her money , she was going to take him to dentist. These other pictures of each kid on this huge beach ball. So adorable I couldn't resist it. I 'm a picture person. I almost always have my camera on hand.Some people call me crazy and others wonder how I always have such cute pictures or wow your kids are so photo genic.(sp) ? My kids say mom not again.

On wed we decided to go down to a local park that has a park and water fountains and the kids just loveit. We took a picnic lunch and let the kids run wild. Here is Paige eating her chips.

The Willett's Boys came over last week to play for a while because Tanner was driving me crazy for someone to play with. So theymade a fort out of blankets and pillows and got out all the logoes and made a city. Like from ratatoulle. it was cool. They all had fun made a huge mess , but they had fun and that's what counts. Guess who cleaned most of it up?

This has been the typical morning at our house Cartoon watching because theyonly get to watch cartoons on Sat. furing school time and we are usually at some sport or shopping. So I let this slide a little in the summer. So they have what a week left. and we have been reading and Scott got me in the act with all three at my side . This is Scott getting ready to go on one of his many bike rides, as he is training for his first triathlon. Scott recently had gastric bypass surgery December 3, 2007. He is now 8 months into it and is exercising mania. He is swimming at Citrus College and biking 50 miles round trip and running 5- 12 miles. Summer fun

The boys had fun making a pallet on the floor to have a sleep out. They drove mommy and daddy nuts asking and asking and finally daddy gave in. Not mommy. I told Scott I'm going to bed it's all you.

Tanner and Logan enjoyed private swim lessons this summer up at the Ferrell's home.Tanner made sure every day he would NOT have to go into the deep end,then he was OK to go ahead with lessons. He wants to know whats going to happen before he does it. Logan was great with the Monkey tree, rocket and the last day he loved going under the water for dive sticks and jumping in off the side.

This is Miss Paige, don't know quite what she is doing here , but I'm going with she 's trying to bury her head or do a somersault.

We went up to Grandma's to say "goodbye" to the horses one last time and feed them watermelon rinds and carrots. It was time for them to move on to another home and start a new life there. My mother sold the horses and I wanted to support her and be with her during this difficult and emotional time in her life.
